Definition

Les cryptoassets are digital assets based on Blockchain to guarantee their authenticity, security and exchangeability without intermediaries. They include the Cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ether, which serve as a payment method or store of value, as well as other types of tokens with specific uses. Among them, the Security Tokens represent financial securities, while Utility Tokens offer access to services or benefits within an ecosystem.

Crypto-assets are at the heart of DeFi, allowing automated transactions via Smart Contracts and facilitating uses such as collateralization or Tokenization of real assets. They can be exchanged on DEX secondary markets or via platforms Peer-to-Peer, improving their accessibility and liquidity. Their value and adoption are influenced by technological innovation, regulation, and public acceptance.
