Definition

La Blockchain, or “blockchain” in French, is a technology for storing and transmitting information that operates in a decentralized manner, without a central authority such as a bank or a government.

It is based on a network of computers, called nodes, that validate and record transactions in the form of blocks linked together cryptographically.

This structure ensures data integrity, transparency, and security. Thanks to cryptography, any modification is almost impossible without the agreement of the network.

Originally used for Cryptocurrencies, blockchain also applies to finance, to the management of tokenized assets, to DeFi and to other sectors that require traceability and security.
